In 2021, I spent five months as an intern at Studio Nul in Rotterdam (NL). To capture the lessons and experiences from my time there, I created a small book with silver-edged pages—a nod to the lessons I learned and the unique studio culture. The design was inspired by the silver LaCie hard drives I regularly used to search for project files. Their distinctive appearance naturally became the centerpiece of the design. Bringing the silver-edged pages to life, however, was a challenge. Collaborating with bookbinder Marco Backer, I went through a process of trial and error, experimenting until we achieved a flawless finish. The result is simple yet striking. A handwritten cover adds a bold, personal touch, reflecting the studio’s warm, collaborative spirit.
